Orange has never been one of my favourite colours because to be quite frank, I look awful in orange. It does something very nasty to my skin tone and makes me look ill. So I have surprised myself this week when I found myself drawn to some orange wool I have in. I keep picking it up and contemplating what I could make with it! Common sense, luckily, has kicked in and I realise there is no point in my making anything in that particular shade. However, there is a rather nice red/orange in the same range which just might fulfill my need for that rich, warm colour. So, when my sister is next around I will get a very honest opinion as to whether or not I should spend the time and effort creating a new winter top. I will of course let you know what happens.
Now just to fill the colour gap I have today allowed myself a little treat!!!
Another Calandiva to replace the yellow one I bought a few weeks ago. The yellow one is still alive, but in need of a little TLC in the greenhouse. So this is my replacement. This is my new distraction from the washing up.
And to keep the colour theme going, the lovely rose in my front garden has just started to flower this week as well. Just look.
It goes from this!
To this!!
To this !!!
All within a couple of days, I can never get over the colour change, just amazing.
So as you can see my colour palette is definitely leaning towards orange at the moment, very bizarre.
Bye for now.
Jo
It was lovely to meet you. I hope to see you again next time you are in the county.

Hello Jo,
I came into the shop yesterday looking for green and purple wool. Thanks for your help and for putting the name of your blog on your card. I've tried to become a follower but not sure whether this has worked. I'll keep checking how you and the shop are getting on!
