I am currently having a love affair with both sock knitting, and the colour mustard. So the obvious next step was to combine the two.
This pattern came free with 'The Knitter' quite a while ago, and has been sat patiently in my sock knitting stash just waiting for the right yarn to come along.
Well that yarn has arrived! It is West Yorkshire Spinners Signature 4ply, a truely lovely sock wool, in exactly the right shade. How lucky am I!
It is smooth and even, with a very good stitch definition and I will definitely be using it again.
So it is started.
It will not be a quick knit as although the pattern is not difficult, you do have to concentrate. Great for taking your mind off other things, but no good for a Knit & Natter.
The needles are Knit Pro Double Pins and are only 10cm long. Very, Very tiny. I already know I love the Symphonie needles range, but I have never tried ones this short before. My other sock pins have been 15 or 20cm ones, so I will am trying them to see if I like them. I will let you know.
So my little kit is in my bag for those unexpected quite moments. (Of course with my Knit Pro Sock Pin Case! Who wants a broken needle?)
Signature 4ply is now available on my Web-site as well as in the shop.
Happy knitting to all those sock lovers out there.
Jo
